Unboxing the Eve Hybrid Mattress

Today, I’m excited to take a look at the hybrid mattress from UK-based brand Eve. Combining pocketed coils with a gentle foam top layer, this bed aims to be as pressure-relieving as it is supportive.

But before I can test out the mattress to see if this is true, I’ve got to unbox it and let it decompress on the frame!

CONSTRUCTION

As I mentioned up top, this eve mattress features a hybrid design made up of buoyant soft foam, high-density poly foam and a pocketed coil system. The combination of materials should create a balanced feel between pressure relief and support.

I’ll dig into all of this and more in my full review, but wanted to give you a sneak peek at its different layers.

Eve Hybrid Mattress

Cover – Crafted from 100% polyester, the cover is pretty stretchy and infused with some great moisture-wicking properties for cooling. It’s also totally removable, making for easy cleaning!

Comfort Layer – The comfort layer is comprised of the brand’s proprietary evecomfort foam, a breathable alternative to memory foam that’s soft yet responds quickly to pressure.

Transition Layer – Directly below the comfort layer, you’ll find a thin layer of poly foam, which will help transition you from the softer materials above into the firmer support sections below.

Edge Support – Before you get to the pocketed coil system, you’ll encounter a section of high-density poly foam edge support surrounding it. This material helps to extend the usable surface area of the mattress and give the coils something to bounce off of.

Support Layer – And finally, the support layer of the mattress, which is built from a layer of 713 individually wrapped springs. What’s unique about eve’s pocketed coil system is that it features zoned support at the shoulders and hips for targeted relief in those areas.

INITIAL THOUGHTS

  • Great for combo sleepers – With its mix of bouncy comfort foam and supportive pocketed coils, I’m guessing this’ll make an awesome bed for those who sleep in multiple positions as it’ll be easy to move around and change positions.
  • Bounce – That being said, I can already tell this is going to be a super buoyant mattress, which could be great for anyone who needs a little extra lift to their bed!

That’s all for now, stay on the lookout for my full review!
